News: US Air plane lands in Hudson River

Yesterday’s splash landing in the Hudson River by pilot  C.B. “Sully” Sullenberger of the American Airlines US Airways (*snort* I was thinking about AA and actually managed to type that – sorry!) plane going from LaGuardia to Charlotte proves me right – these pilots are totally trustworthy.  Read more at CNN.

There’s a story behind this photo (source: Janis Krums via CNET) too.  The photographer was on one of the commuter ferries and posted it to Twitter via TwitPic.  This particular pic ended up crashing the TwitPic app because so many people tried to view it.  The founder of TwitPic says they’re already in the process of increasing the app’s server capabilities so it won’t happen again.

It was actually US Air, not American… and I told Adam he’s not allowed to call them “Useless Air” anymore after that landing!!
