TTT: Book your Sandals trip with Ruth

I am back!  My husband and I visited Sandals Royal Caribbean in Montego Bay, Jamaica as a belated birthday trip December 26-29, so I’ll be sharing a few things I learned over the next few weeks on Travel Tip Tuesday.  First things first: if you’re interested in Sandals, you should definitely consider booking with Ruth DeMuth, a travel agent with TripGuy Travel.

Destination: St. Martin/Sint Maarten

This post continues my Caribbean destination mini-series (see Belize, Nassau, St. Thomas, St. John).  St. Martin/Sint Maarten is a brilliant choice for those of us gunning for membership in the Travelers Century Club who enjoy the Caribbean – it’s two countries on one tiny island!  It’s divided approximate in half between France (northern half) and the Netherlands Antilles (southern half) and is the smallest inhabited sea island divided between two nations.

Destination: St. John

Little Lameshur Bay St. John USVISt. John, the smallest of the USVI at 9 miles long and 3 miles wide, is just a 15-45 minute ferry ride from St. Thomas and an excellent option if you’re visiting the larger island.  I’ve gotten to go there once for a day and would love the chance to go back for an extended visit.  It’s one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been, and I barely saw any of it!

Destination: St. Thomas

St. Thomas is one of the U.S. Virgin Islands and also one of the most popular stops for cruise ships.  We’ve called upon St. Thomas twice.  On our first visit, we set off for St. John (next Destination post!).  On our second visit, we stayed on St. Thomas.  We still have so much more to see and do on both islands!

Destination: Belize

I’ve been toying with some ideas about where to go to celebrate my birthday this year.  Although I have been focusing on Jamaica, I randomly decided to check out Belize.  It looks like an amazing place that I absolutely must add to my list of places I want to visit.
