TTT: Don’t forget your anniversary!

You’re probably thinking that I’m going to recommend that you consider traveling as a present for your anniversary/birthday/whatever, right?  Yes, that’s a great idea.  In fact, that’s part of why we went on the cruise to Greece.  That’s not what I’m talking about though!

The story:  Our cruise last week was to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary.  The actual anniversary was Sunday, June 22.  Since the last night of the cruise was on Friday, we’d asked Royal Caribbean to do something for us that night (the standard thing is that they’ll bring you a dessert and sing to you).  They forgot.  I remarked upon it as we were finishing up, and then… we forgot!  I didn’t even think about our anniversary until I got back to work on Monday and my calendar reminded me.  Hahaha – oops!  Jason didn’t remember either.

The real travel tip this Tuesday: Don’t let traveling make you forget to appreciate what you’re celebrating!  Don’t worry – we went out to dinner last night.
