Outdoor movies in the Triangle
June 5, 2008

The NC Art Museum’s summer outdoor movie season kicks off this weekend with Atonement on Friday night and Once on Saturday. Check out the rest of their summer lineup here. I love taking a picnic there for dinner.
Regency Park begins tonight with The Bourne Ultimatum. You can see their summer lineup here.
The Lumina already got things going in Chapel Hill. Their offerings are a bit more kid-friendly and generally a lot more recently released.
There will be others that pop up as the summer goes on. Usually the Town of Morrisville hosts one at some point. City Market has them every other Saturday in Moore Square Parkbeginning… well, sometime. (Personal note: We attempted to attend one of these once and left less than 15 minutes into the movie. We were sick of the kids running back and forth, screaming, and stepping on our stuff and all the smoking. We couldn’t really hear the movie and couldn’t enjoy the atmosphere.
I hope that was a one-time thing, but I haven’t managed to give it another go since then.)
