TTT: Don’t fry your electronics
I was just talking to a friend the other night about our upcoming Europe trip, and she asked whether she will need to bring her adapter (changes socket type) and converter (changes voltage) for use on the ship. I was happy to tell her that our ship uses standard US plugs and electricity, but this reminded me of an important travel tip to share with you. When traveling in a foreign country, you’ll want to bring along your camera and possibly other electronic devices which may require electricity for recharging or operation. Make sure you know exactly what you’re dealing with in each country you’re visiting! Pandora.de has a helpful list of the voltage and frequency found in each country as well as socket type. Check it out before you go and make sure you have what you need to take care of your devices.
Side note: I’m very excited that our ship uses US type electricity/sockets. I’ll just make sure our batteries all have a full charge before we go (should last for 2.5 days!), and we’ll be good to go – no adapters/converters necessary.
