Gelato in Vegas
Say you’re walking through the Forum Shops at Caesars in Vegas. You happen upon a cute gelato stand in the middle of it (near Trevi, the restaurant that runs the stand). The gelato looks reeeeally good, and they have cool flavors like ”white chocolate strawberry cheesecake.” You glance up at the board behind the counter and don’t see any prices. You don’t worry about it – it’s just gelato, how much could it possibly be? So your husband orders the smallest size (tiny) and you order two sizes up to get 2 flavors (small). You greedily snatch the dishes and whip out your wallet to pay.
“That’ll be $22.”
You scrape your jaw off the floor, pay, are grateful that at least the gelato is good if they’re going to charge that much, and vow to warn others. Yeah, the “you” in this case was me, my husband, and my friend. Consider yourself warned. Look hard for prices before you order anything; ask if you don’t see them. There are several other gelato places in Vegas that are much more reasonably priced. Go to one of those if you need gelato.
